Technical Support

I emailed a technical problem with regards to one of the problem that we
encountered for the software that we are using for development. The software
is a well known report writer and is rather established, US based if I may
add.

I was pleasantly surprised when I actually got a response and within the
same day! Fast, eh? However, my joy was short lived when the response
actually says that the problem stated is not due to "installation" issue and
since they had replied they would like to make use of this email to offset
the three free Technical Support we are entitled to as a paying customer.

My email clearly states down the problem at hand and it is due to usage and
there is nothing to do with installation. Secondly, how in god's name the
email landed at the technical support for 'installation' is really beyond me
(they only have one email for technical support).

They replied the second time asking further information towards the problem,
of which I had replied what they needed to know. My reply to them is not
pretty, I have to admit.

Their third reply came, then forth, fifth and so on. All of the subsequent
emails is not asking or helping to resolve the problem but I think they are
making it as their never ending quest to try to close the case - even though
the actual problem is not rectified! I think they don't have a friggin' clue
what technical support really means.

After about ten times of emailing to and fro I realized that all these while
the email is from someone in India. I think that about sums up everything.

That might be easier... then Stephen could just go visit them and beat
them over the heads with a chair or something.

You can't get a lawsuit for bitching about a company's crappy tech
support. People do it all the time... it sure as hell isn't slander if
it actually happened.
