Hi! Does anyone know if a patch is planned to stop the AI destroying oil derricks / refineries / hospitals? Clearly it makes more sense to capture them unless you're really in the shit, yet AI teams quite happily surround these buildings with superior force and merrily blow them to crap. I've even seen, on many occasions, the same AI team send troops in to capture a building whilst sending in vehicles to destroy the same building. How stupid is that? Ace

This is a tactical issue in the game that stops you from taking what you cannot defend, while at the same time forcing you to build quicker so you can capture them first, since the bonus only goes to the first capture. There will be no "Patch" as it is a strategy designed into the game.

The AI-blowing-up-capturables behaviour may be able to be modified, although I don't know how. The issue is simply that the AI is programmed to destroy enemy buildings but also attempt to capture civilian structures. Destroying buildings takes a higher precendence, since the AI is horrible on the defensive anyways. -- - Tim G.
