*  Symptom:
Certain printed document from program like Excel and grafical programs will
be almost perfekt. Some pictures can be partly replaced by characters in
different sizes. Programs like Word works good.

These problems is the same from all computers in the network.

The customer previously had an old QMS-laser. This one has allways worked
good.


*  Network configuration:
HP Laserjet 4
HP Laserjet 5
Server 486DX266, 16 MB RAM
Netware 3.12
Mixed Win3.11 och Win95 clients.
Following patchs installed:

*  This has been done:

Have installed the latest printerdrivers. Tested different
printerconfigurations on the clients.

The printer works fine localy on one computer.

Printed exceldocs to a file. This file have i copied to the parallellport
from DOS. Is the local it works fine. Do I use the network it wont work.
Conclusion: The problem has nothing to do with windows.

Changed the printserver use / not use interrupts for the printing.

Installed the above mentioned servicepatchs.

Installed the printer remote on one of the clients. This didn't help.
Conclusion: The printerports on the server can not be broken.

Found a document at Novell that describes the problem. (Only novell 2.2 and
3.11). The solution is to install version 3.76 of the printserver. This
version is already installed on the server.
