The UEF tech-4 artillery is the most expensive.  A lone engineer needs
nearly 6 hours to build one.

I just finished the Cybran campaign--when the UEF tried to build a
defense line near my base I was able to capture one of the engineers
and got UEF tech.  I was having a hard time dealing with the Aeon base
so I settled in to turtle and build tech-4 artillery.  Other than
defense forces that's all I did for the rest of the game.  The only
unit of mine that even entered the second UEF base was my commander.

Yup--there's one of those in the Cybran 6th mission and you have to
kill it quickly.  I had something like 30 tech-3 fighters, it died
*VERY* quickly.

I've never built one of these.  I ought to try it.
