That's because you have to buld them on the Graveyards. They're rare little things that you often find near swamps. >I have heard that it has to be during a bad moon, but I haven't tried it >yet. I also read somewhere that it had to be next to a death node. >I do not recall ever seeing a death node. Does it exist? What only during >bad moons? How do I find it? To create a Death Node, you have to corrupt a node of a wizard who has life magic during a Bad Moon. Use the "Fnord" spell to finalize the ritual. >Also, what does a death city give you? >Skeletons, Ghouls and nasties like that. Do they cost any upkeep? Of course! Just like your normal cities have to pay upkeep on troops, so do your Cities of the Dead. Remember, the two things you cannot escape are Death and Taxes. The most useful thing about the Death Cities is that they never have unrest (besides the amount necessary to animate their restless dead, obviously). The bad thing about the Death Cities is that they can't generate mana for you, since they really don't care about all those shrines and temples. On the other hand, once you build a Necropolis (5 gold upkeep) and can toss out those Death Knights in four turns or so, the extra mana cost may be worth it. Basically, if you're already an all-Black sort of Wizard, I wouldn't bother with a City of the Dead (especially considering how tough they are to make). Zombie Mastery gives you about the same thing and about for much less trouble. On the other hand, those Wraith Halbardiers with Negate First Strike and Life Drain sure come in handy. >Please answer!
