Hello, Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but here are some of my experiences with games: Diablo I was a huge fan of Diablo and played on Battle.Net frequently then some silly sod developed a hack to allow you to modify character stats so you begin the game with an invincible character without following the progression of advancing your character from nothing, this ruined the game for me. To top that someone then developed code to allow Town Killers, The original Diablo was written so that when your in the town area your characters where safe and you could heal them, change thier weaponry, sell stuff all without fear of ones life then came the town killer patch. I have never logged into Battle.Net since. Jedi Knight Jedi Knight was a different story. The game was good but could have been so much better. So many people developed add-ons/patches to enhance the gameplay but LucasArts never followed id's lead providing Server Code and Client Code. This I found cause real issues when players with patches applied joined games hosted by players without. This usually resulted in the games crashing out. Ultima Online This is an excellent MPOG, I am having little problems with player killers and find most people very helpful, either trading or giving me items if I yell I am a newbie (Which I am!) I dont know whether other people pose as newbies to get given stuff but probably. Quake: Team Fortress TC Team Fortress Software has been excellent in the most part at keeping hacks out of Team Fortress but recently add-on packs have been release for such things as glowing player skins and I have also seen map hacks which turn textured walls into clear walls!! I have stopped playing TF not because of cheaters in the most part but because I was pants at it. Real Time Online Combat Games (Red Alert/AoE/Dark Reign) Not exactly cheats that hack me off with these games but instead the fact that the games turn into huge scrums without much strategy: AoE: Build loads of Balista's (which can pivot 90 degree's in seconds) and wipeout your opponent (Should be a limit or have them rotate by moving and stearing NOT PIVOTING!) C&C:RA: Build loads of Mammoths and overwhelm the opponents! Its the same old story with all of these games. Best game that gets over this is CloseCombat:A Bridge too Far, I recommend this.
