I mean I was optimistic "They are going to have to remove this smile from my face when I die with a chisel" kind of happy as we were progressing. Going way back to bbs door games <and forgetting MUDs>: There were games online that you played against human opponents but you were usually not there at the same time. Then came games where the only thing important was who got the BFG 9000 first. Diablo came along and had a party system that allowed for cooperative play and even a chat room. Then came the MMPOG circa 1997 which wasn't perfect but a quantum leap forward that showed promise. Now a dozen years later and it seems like most of the progress has been in 'discovering things to hook people with OCD.' I'd like to see them start having meetings where the developers actually try to put some fun in the games. If I want to make a 1,000 mouse clicks w/o having fun, I don't even need to have my computer on let alone buy a game and pay subscription fees. Heck, I guess I am a minority customer anyway. Ten million people playing WoW pretty much tells the whole story. It is a good game but I can't say I ever laughed or giggled while I was playing it or couldn't wait to login the next time because I was missing the fun. Always the same story, got to level, got to get my next level spells, ... Rick
