Because most video cards released now are optimized for Windows graphic use rather than Dos graphic use. This optimization will help games be faster than in the equivalent Dos based enviroment. There are, of course, millions of other factors that pushes or slows down this effect but regarding the speed issues this is a major factor. -- Anyhu, I think it will be easier to run games under Win95. At least, there should be less of those irritating midi blues. I base this on my experience with games through Win 3.11 compared to Dos 6.22. Even on selecting GM through Dos with KQ6 I get a sound that is less sophisticated than the one I get with the Win 3.11 version. Sounds stupid, but still, reality is reality. Sven
