Downloaded the Need for Speed demo and I'm pretty amazed.
Magic Carpet crawled in SVGA. System Shock crawled in SVGA. I
was worried that my P-90 was going to be lame for high
resolution stuff. I was wrong. It's the programmers that make
the difference, 'cause Need for Speed absolutely smokes in
SVGA. Super-smooth scrolling, no jerkiness, and I don't even
have a totally bitchen graphics card. Also, the physics of the
game are quite nice. One question though. I have a 17" Mag
monitor and some games jump to the right side of the screen
while running. Most don't, but a small number do. Is this
just me, or are others having similar problems? And if so,
does anybody know the fix for this? Thanks.
