Magic Carpet 2 is really swell. The graphics are superb, the engine is really improved, the enemies are interesting and very bright. That said, I don't really enjoy the "Magic Carpet" experience. Imagine this... the complexity and beauty of the Magic Carpet experience, from the ground! The ability to quest throughout that rich world from foot. Maybe the carpet as a means of transportation. Throw in the netplay, add a few puzzles and this game becomes AWESOME. When I saw that caverns level, I wanted to walk around in there. I hate to say it, but a cross between DOOM, Magic Carpet, and an RPG. Keep the spells, add some weapons. Bingo! With netplay, enter multi-player parties solving puzzles, fighting together. Bullfrog?
