So this makes them the definitive, never-wrong source?

It typically does.

Exception to the rule.

Again, the fact that "they dont [sic] seem to think it was" doesn't make
them correct.

Nevermind that Origin stated clearly that it was a standalone game, right?

By this logic above (with the exception of the videos, which is a moot
point anyway), WCII was an add-on to WCI and WCIV was an add-on to WCIII.

Wrong. While some people refer to WCP as WCV/WC5, the numerical system
was officially dropped _by Origin_ after WCIV. WCV/WC5 is not an
alternate title.

Again, you assume that a some repository and review site, however
expansive, is the definitive source. Origin, the company that made the
WC games, is a far more solid source for their own games.

And this supports your point...how? Oh, it doesn't. If anything, the
completely different means of delivery -- episodic downloads -- supports
the stand-alone viewpoint.

Just about anything can be debated. Doesn't mean there isn't a "right"
answer. In this case, the simple fact is that one side (for stand-alone)
has far more viable and official support on its side. Like it or not.
