why?  The person you potentially sell your treasured toon to could be an
asshat, that everyone on else will hate.  Could get a bad reputation as
bad player if bought by a complete noob....You don't know what type of
home your sending it off to!  lol  :)

People do get sentimental about certain toons, esp mains,
considering the time invested - so in some way you want to hand off your
work to someone who will continue your toons 'life' should you no longer
wish to or can't play any longer.  (This is where Bliz is cool about
allowing transfers to family.)  But I agree with the no sale rule.  You
can imagine the havoc if people bought a level 85's decked in i359 gear
and tried to learn how to play...ummm, in your heroic dungeon run....I'm
pretty sure I've run across some...

For those wanting to see thier character "go on" when you quit or stop
playing it - think of it (because it's an 'it') as an Excel spreadsheet.
It's just a bunch of numbers.  Some people get sentimental because they
wrapped the excel file in a body and gave it a face.  Thinking of it
this way may make it a little easier to hit delete.

Or if you have the space, leave it alone.  You never know what they are 
going to do next expansion, and you may like that better and will be 
your main....Switch factions with it and use it for target practice with 
your guild, or play some games with it.  Go into TB and whack your 
guildies...there's always something..  :)

Most importantly - If you can't come to delete it, then just leave it
alone...You might switch and make that your main in the next expansion
or something...Doesn't hurt to leave it in WoW purgatory limbo (the
place on the server where toons go when you log off....)    :)
