I just don't understand _WHY_ id decided to ignore modem support! They
already have the code! If Quake 2 is anything like quake 1 then single
player mode is just a loopback server. Why can't they do that on modem?
I.E.

Single player:

  Server
\ | /      / |\
  Client

Multiplayer:

  Server <-     -      - <modem>    -    -    -    ->Client
\ | /      / |\
  Client

The code is laready there!
Of course i am just an ignorant peon and i'm sure there are THOUSANDS of
reasons why id is not doing that. I just would like to know what they
are.
