Resolution problem with GLQuake

I've got a problem - everytime I try to start GLQuake in a resolution higher
than 640x480, GLQuake simply crashes on me. I have an MSI GeForce4 Ti4600
card. Anyone know what the problem might be?

For that matter, stating the video card alone doesn't really help much either.

I've tried setting the res by both of the following:

c:\quake\glquake.exe -mode 2
c:\quake\glquake.exe -width 800 -height 600

As for the version of GLQuake, the console window displays (GL 0.95) 1.09 in
the bottom right corner. Does this help?

get 98 version (latest) older versions would not go above 640x480

glquakes resolution is command line only
glquake.exe -width 800 should work btw there is no need to set height
width 800 will automatically set the height to 600

try setting the res to match your desktop

on a side note -heapsize allocates more ram to quake
-zone helps loading large config files

glquake.exe -width 1024 -heapsize 34000 -zone 2048

Tried that and it works - thanks for your help. :-)
