OK. Let me know when you know :)

44 years is quite "old". Homosexuality has only recently gained the
acceptance that it enjoys today. The chances are many closet homosexuals
suppressed their feelings during times of oppression but are now able to
express them.

Any predilection towards the same sex is gene oriented. It may take time
to discover since you are forced down a path of heterosexuality during
your formative years. Peer pressure, parental pressure, sociological
pressure will all help quell feelings if they are generally perceived to
be abnormal. Today, people are able to be more expressive without the
same risks of 20 or 30 years ago.

I will not deny that some people try homosexuality through curiosity or
maybe they do have some small element of same sex attraction within them.
It all stems from the same origin, I.e. genetic. Note your interviewees
did not say "we used to think it was sick wrong never wanted to try it",
they were in a situation and had no objection, maybe even some desire.

Maybe they were seeking something they have not found in "normal" sexual
relationships. Whatever, I do not believe you have presented evidence
against inborn issues WRT homosexuality. Sorry :)

I cannot now, it's been built up to much, just close your eyes and type
it then I'll forget it, OK? :)

Not *actively* bisexual, maybe. Not *knowingly* bisexual, maybe. Not
bisexual, unlikely.

You come across that you see that as abnormal and even abhorent. That is
hardly empathy.
