why on earth is that klingon newbie referring to me as "it" and as for
the weird (big) eyes, big nose and pale skin, those are actually
considered to be physically attractive features in rice eating nation,

Does she have a speech defect? They seem to subtitle her, sometimes even make
chinese characters (and I don't mean people, but writing) jump out of her mouth.

Is this some version of Hollywood Squares meets Love Connection?

It's normal on Chinese television to subtitle Chinese, because
especially in the southern parts of the country many people do not
understand spoken Mandarin Chinese, yet they do understand written
Chinese. It's also very useful for me, since I am a strawberry.

So are you saying that there are people running around the Netherlands

Or maybe someone dropped some on the floor and it got stuck on my shoes?
Nah, let's go with your theory, reason be damned. And it's much more fun
to come up with Dutch invisible gnome-people trying to tape innocent
bystanders feet together. Always make sure it's unfalsifiable, so they
can't prove a negative.

There's no amusement park near me. At least not the last time I checked.

The phone book got replaced by a slimmed down version (with smaller
regions) that got replaced by CD-ROM containing all phone numbers that
got replaced by a website that got replaced by an app. This app you can
put on a phone, without breaking it, something that would surely happen
if you put one physical phone book per region on your phone. This is why
old phones were built much more sturdy than these small plastic/glass
GSM-things.

WHAT? Don't you live below those rivers? In those regions of the
Nether Lands where they cannot pronounce the G properly? And don't
they have some famous amusement park there?

And hey, I have a semi-glass GSM-thing. I have one with a physicial
keyboard because I just can't stand touch screen stuff, but it has
internet, high-quality camera, music, video, but less porn than some
of the females I encounter here. Yet, it is sturdy.

Where I live, the G is pronounced properly and not as if someone is
trying to choke you. Nor does the R sound like you're being run over by
a steamroller. Any amusement park is too far to go on foot and most
won't even try on our national transportation system: the bicycle.

But the G is supposed to sound as if somebody is trying to choke you.
And the R is some sort of machinery at work indeed. How else could you
be able to say you're from "Ggggrrrroningen" or "Ggggrrrrrrn" as we
say it?

I assume you mean a jacket or socks or something. Otherwise you'd be out

Made in Real China, no doubt. Instead of Fake China.

What material are they made of? Not china, of course, but fabric,
leather, (fake) fur and/or rubber that kind of stuff.

It seems to be real leather, apart from the sole which apparently is
made from some sort of rubber that easily breaks into pieces. As long
as temperatures do not get above zero however, the snow that gets
stuck in the cracks of the sole does not melt, and since these
Harley's are still warm enough when it's -30, have served me for three
winters already, and only cost €16 a pair, I would say it's a real
bargain. If you want I can help you set up a supply chain, so you can
sell them in the Netherlands for €160 a pair.

Yet the Wii was (maybe still is) the most popular of the current
consoles. Yet serious gamers only consider buying a PS3, 360 or PC. A
Wii is the Christmas gift they get because the parents are sure that
that's the one they didn't have yet. Turns out there's another one in
the attic, never used.

I think we wouldn't turn a profit even at €160. The lawyers we'll need
for fighting Harley Davidson lawsuits will be very expensive. Unless we
rename the boots to Harloy Davidsen with a sharpie.

How about renaming them to Chinese motorcycles, like Lifan? I'm sure
Dutch people would just love to walk around in Lifan boots. If not,
use your marketing skills.

My marketing skills are severely limited, especially when it comes to
stuff I wouldn't buy in a million years.

I kind of agree about the early 90's being the Golden Age. Don't get me
wrong: today's games are much better looking, run much smoother and do
things we were only dreaming of back then. But it tends to lack simple
addictive game play.

Too many buttons and combo's to bash in. Long film clips between levels.
Games that can only be played online, via Facebook or need an internet
connection to check if you have a legal copy and then still fails.
Though there is a lot of "casual gaming", stuff like Angry Birds.

I prefer games like Civilization, they don't just look better, increased
complexity is actually an improvement in games like that. But I don't
play enough games, I guess, to have a good view on what's up in game-land.

I prefer sneakers to boots and a motorcycle would make me a permanent
resident in the graveyard. With boots and a motorcycle, I'd be a dead
man walking.
