Culture barbarians, that's what they are over there. Or more apt: culture
pirates! Taking state of the art American entertainment and reduce it to
background music for a cheongsam clad salesladhy pawning Chinese history
memorabilia instead of the much more valued Nascar commemorative plates. Some
great leader somewhere must be spinning in his grave at the poor state of the
revolution.

You're one to talk about culture barbarians, using strange, antiquated
ways to write the name of that Chinese dress! It's all Hànyǔ Pīnyīn
these days, which has been an ISO standard for decades, so it is
called qípáo! What you're doing is like talking in ISO 8859-1 when you
can talk in UTF-8, or like how those Chinese write our prime minister's
name as Mǎkè Lǚtè instead of Mark Rutte, or how some Dutch persist in
writing Sjanghai rather than Shanghai! Meet the wrath of Chairman Mao!

Talking about Chairman Mao, it's quite entertaining to see farmers
with nothing more than a sack of rice in their hands travel from their
farmlands in the backwaters of China all the way to Beijing, get on
the subway and go through security just to have a look at Mao's dead
body. For some, it is the absolute highlight of their lives.

You wouldn't be suggesting that if you'd knew what these ladies look
like. They do not age well over here.

We have a great leader called Mǎkè Lǚtè? How quaint. It must be the first time
we have someone of Chinese origins at the helm.

To be fair, there should be some McCarthy-style anti-commie-Americans that would
like to do the same, just to make sure he's dead. Can't picture them carrying
any produce though.

Don't you know Mǎkè Lǚtè is a quintessential Dutch name? Just like,
just like, well, Dennis Gerritszoon for one, for two, or for three.

Any produce apart from perfect steel bars would be fine. Have you ever
heard of this story how communist local leaders used to fool the
great, almighty and omnipotent Chinese dictator into believing the
smitheries in the farm yards produced the same quality steel as
British and Japanese industries, leaving the omnipotant swimming
champion to wonder why them British needed these big ass factories to
produce the same steel that a Chinese peasant could produce from
confiscated watches, plows and other metal products?

Photoshop is that program that all Chinese here have on their
computers. When somebody apt at actually using it needs to process
photos of females in skanky clothing he has takes photos of in his
basement in a desolate apartment complex, he will often times tell
them to wait several days because he still needs to PS them photos.

I thought Dennis the Menace was a British and an American comic strip
character...

I think I'd fail my citizenship exam.

Nope, but it fits perfectly in my perception of humanity. If there's a
system there's a flaw in it and a person that'll find and exploit it.
Here the system had incentive for local leaders to deceive and get
production quotas for steel. So some did just that. Do they now make
powdered milk in the same facilities?

I just did this test:
http://educatie.ntr.nl/nationaleinburgeringtest/online-test/

And I got a score of 2,8. "Helaas, u bent niet 'ingeburgerd'." Now,
officially I am registered as "geëmigreerd", since I haven't lived in
the Netherlands for quite some years. I wonder what will happen when
some political party decides to impose such a test upon returning
citizens.

Those facilities are just some brick houses with a bunch of farmers
in them where they make pretty much anything. I've been told though
not to be afraid of milk anymore. The real danger still is with those
peasants with their hand carts selling meat.

This is a very bad test. The questions are ambiguous and often the
answers don't make sense. For instance I don't have an 17 year old
daughter that's throwing a party nor am I buying a home. I only need to
know the answers to questions about that when I actually will have
those. Which will be never. This can't have anything to do with the real
inburgeringstest.
