Build help needed! Desperately!

I need someone's help! A few hours ago I was working on a .MAP of my house.
It was going alright, and looking good. 3D mode worked fine. Then I tried
to put in a 'table' that I was going to make into a sink...and then when I
tried to go into 3D mode, the graphics were all smeared, like I was trying
to walk out of the level with dnclip in Atomic Edition. I removed the table
(and later I tried removing that whole sector) but my level's still messed
up! Even when trying to open it in Duke, it still is unplayable!! I have
no idea what could have happened, can someone help? Or possibly try to
salvage it?

My email address is wa3dhb@bellatlantic.net so email me if you want me to
send it to you. Thanks!

I'm sorry to tell you that it's pretty hard to fix. Sometimes maps
just rip. I find that sector copy is especially prone to causing it,
but so darn useful that I use it anyways.

The map I have lately been working on ripped worse than that. I kept
fixing specific sector problems, other problems kept reappearing. And
I was getting some paradoxical walls without sectors and other
severely confused areas.

What I ended up doing was copying most of a backup copy, plus the new
stuff from the ripped version, into a fresh map with sector copy.
Took about 2 hours, but it seems fixed.

One piece of advice, make frequent backups.

I'll see what I can do. It would be easier if you put it on the web
and posted the url.

Nevermind, I started the level again from scratch and it's looking better
than ever.

I also put a few messages in here and there, for those who like those sorts
of things. (Pascal Rouaud inspired me :-) There's one in there that's sure
gonna sting a certain actor I know in the ass...

Never ever try to delete an inner loop by overlapping all of its vertexes.
That screws the level up permanently. That's most likely what I did.
