Did the Cyrix machine have the Diamond Stealth II G460 in it also? If not,
the video card could be a problem. Diamond stopped updating the Stealth II
G460 drivers long ago. I recommend picking up the Intel PV3.2w reference
drivers for the i740 (which your cards uses). If you play DirectX 6 games
and notice errors in them, then you should get the PV4.0 reference drivers.
However, the 4.0 drivers are known to cause errors in Corel WordPerfect and
other applications. http://www.intel.com/design/graphics/740/

I have an AMD K6-2 350MHz and an Intel Express 3D and I have the latest
drivers for it (which are the equivalent of the PV3.2w drivers). All BUILD
engine games run nicely at 800x600 (30-38fps in Duke Nukem 3D). At 640x480,
it's almost always at 60fps and hardly drops at all.
