What are the Stats maximums for the three Diablo character classes? This is what I've been able to gather so far from reading these newsgroups: WARRIOR: STR=250 MAG=50 DEX=60(?) VIT= ? ROGUE: STR=55 MAG= ? DEX=250 VIT= ? SORCEROR: STR=45 MAG=250(?) ? ?

Cool. What is the actual level at which these characters begin to Max out -- I imagine it's around Level 30 something -- and get that oh-so-annoying little red Level-Up button on the screen that Greg Kemmetmueller mentions :-) Also... Why should the Rogue have an apparent 5 point Max-out disparity/penalty when compared to the other classes, esp. since at high levels it's the Sorceror who can wipe out enemies much faster?

If you note the start strength of the warrior it is 30. to get to 250 just taking strength up all the time takes 220/5 = 42. So no. the level-up button stays there if you use the earlier cheats that max out stats. Add another 8 on for good measure getting to max majic too, so 51st level will have max strenght and majic, but basic dexterity and vitality. The case for the prosecution rests, m'lud. > >Also... You can, starting around level 20, both find AND BUY elixirs that will permanently increase your stats. Ummm....you seem to be forgetting that there are TONS of other ways to increase stats. Elixers, shrines/cauldrons/etc... These affect the permanent stats as well.

Which doesn't take into account stat potions, seeing as when you're down in
hell the money, literally, grows on trees. Of course 5000 gold for one stat
point is a bit steep :)

Dex maybe the most important stat because it increases her damage and armor class as well as her hit rate, also she has a fairly good magic stat max. Besides magic means nothing when you battle monsters immune to everything. :x kth

Heck, even on Nightmare I can go down, come back, sell anything I don't want, buy all potions from the witch, buy wirt's item, and usually come out ahead from the trip. Since I've maxxed out my stats, I've created a Warrior who I've been giving all my elixers to. Level 4 and a maxxed dex. :) Looks like I'm going to have to make a drone Rogue to use all my dex elixers on now. :)

You forget a great many things. Elixers are dropped. Elixers are able to be purchased. Abandoned Shrines, +2 dex. Eerie Shrines, +2 mag. Mysterious Shrines, net +1 stat. Quiet Shrines, +2 vit. Last one I forget, quote is "strength is bolstered by heavenly faith" and that is +2 str > The case for the prosecution rests, m'lud. Your honor, I beg the court for a recess so I can fire my lawyer.

I have two nearly maxxed-out characters, and I am nowhere near level
100. There are many other ways to raise attributes. I got about 150 of
my 250 strength for my warrior just from repeatedly buying potions...

According to another post, The healer and the witch start selling elixers when
you reach level 25. I have found elixers on level 9 and below.

I think instead that Elixirs sold by the healer and witch start
occurring around dungeon level 13-16 (Hell). It may depend on your
character but not your characters level. Mine is currently a level 28
Rogue. I have started a new game when I was 25 and above 3 times now
and the Elixirs have not appeared until the last levels of the game.

Probably correct. My post above to this same thread was in

This may be true for single player games, however the Clarence was also correct when he stated that the witch starts selling elixirs when your character reaches level 25, this is the case for multiplayer games.

I have not played the single player game much so I don't know about it but in multiplayer if you want elixers just start a modem or network game over and over and visit the witch each time sometimes she will have elixers sometimes she won't. Also check Griswold each time I have found plate of the stars AC 74, +12 to all for sale there, every once in a while he has something good but it's always expensive. You have to have a network card installed to start a network game. So if you have a bunch of cash you can really get alot of elixers and good stuff this way. Rob Brown >D.D. I've noticed that when you clear level 25ish, you can go to the witch who usually has some elixers. Go down to the dungeon, kill a bunch of monsters, go back and she has more. I've not bought vitality from her before tho, I only find them down like level 10 or deeper.....
