Just install the original program into another directory, or more
preferable another hard drive.	Don't connect to battle.net with the 2nd
program, so that you will not get that bullshit patch, which has allready
been cracked from what i hear, can't wait. Now use diablo trainer on this
program as before. Now dupe your items and exit the game. Next start
the new diablo program with the patch from battle.net. The character you
modified in the old program will now be in the new one. If I could
understand a little more about computer languages i would hack the
program myself, but i just program in fortran mainly. Leave it to the
computer scientest to do the dirty work. Hope this helps, and for all
you non cheaters out there blizzard will never keep up with the hackers
so face it.

I've just bought Diablo, was attracted by the multiplayer aspect, having
played Quake & Red Alert over the internet for a while. But I am
dismayed to find that it seems the internet gameplay is dogged by
"cheating". My question is, is it worthwhile playing Diablo over the
net, or am I going to be up against a player who has equipped
himself/herself with all sorts of impossible attributes? Surely the
game could have been made tamperproof (Quake managed it by having the
server do all the "thinking", I'm not sure about Red Alert I think that
authenticates the code that's running).

In my opinion, at the moment most people I encounter (99%) prefer
co-operative play. You wont go up against a hacked or cheat player, but
you may play with one going through the dungeon levels. As a rule I do
not accept anything from anyone except gold and only when I ask for it.
I have only encountered one player killer since playing Diablo. You can
seek out duels, but they are at your request and then you are right you
would have no idea of how legitimate the character you are going up
against is.
