I believe it's level 5, maybe 4. You have to go and get a crate being defended by NOD. No matter what I do, by the time I get to the NOD base, my troops are worn down. Once I get into the base, my guys get wasted in no time flat. I tried to first go around to the side and destroy as much as I could from the mountain top, then come around and destroy the rest, but I still get killed every time. Any suggestions?

As soon as you get to the crate, everyone bales out and you've cracked it. You need to use CTRL or ALT (its in the readme file) to make your APC's head for the base without stopping. I'm pretty new to C&C, but I'm in the same ditch - you just don't seem to get enough people/weapons for this level - there must be some old pros out there who can help us out! -- David

You've got to lure him out of his base by attacking his base from the ridge above. Nearly all of his units will come out then.

Single out 1 guy and hide him. If the rest get wasted, you'll get a fresh APC full of reinforcements, which should be enough to get the crate. I found the strategically placing him where he could creae a disturbance for the tank, that I could just waltz in.

What I am saying is that you don't need to stop and fight everything that gets in your path. I did a blitzkreig straight to the crate group everyone to one group and not stopping to fight anything. Was a little beat up but still had over 80 percent leadership score. All you need to do is get one unit to the crate and you are set.

Use the upper group with tank and rockets out front to destroy oncoming vehicles. Knock a hole in the back wall of his base and send your fastest vehicle straight down to the crate. Meanwhile send the 2nd group down to the bottom of the screen and straight across to where the helicopter will appear, once you secure the crate. It took me numerous attempts to beat that level. have fun, I believe it's level 5, maybe 4. You have to go and get a crate being >defended by NOD. In the second, the troops all rally up behind you before you can do much serious damage. To me the key was 1) learning to use the APC to crush enemy troops in the way, 2) leave troops in the APC as much as possible - try to bypass enemy minigunners or run them over and run over bazookas too, and 3) try to bolt past the enemy armor at the end, unload and send EVERYONE on foot towards the crate. This was an inelegant, messy solution. Good Luck Bill Bigelis : I have the same problem. I think it is mission 4. Running out of : ideas.

I don¹t know if this is the most elegant way to get past it, but the way I beat the level was to concentrate on just getting the crate. The first billion times I tried to destroy the nod base (or a large part of it) in the process of getting the crate. Finally, totally by accident I found that all you have to do is get one unit to the crate and then one unit, not necessarily the same one, to the flare marking your pickup point. My advice is run in and out as quick as you can and not worry if you leave a bunch of pissed off nod guys chasing you because this isn¹t real life and as soon as you hit the marker you are home free.
