Zdanie merytorycznie banalne, ale za to składniowo nie daję rady...Mowa o 
stosowaniu rysunków w CSS.

"Given many of the designs favored by the CSS purists, you'd be forgiven for 
thinking that the image is soon to be a thing of the past, eschewed in favor 
of clean, standards-compliant, CSS-formatted, text-based design. "

Z góry dziękuję za przetłumaczenie tego fragmentu.

Na moj gust brzmialoby to tak:
Wziawszy pod uwage wzory stron faworyzowane przez purystów specyfikacji 
CSS, mozesz czuc sie usprawiedliwiony sadzac, ze rysunki predko stana 
sie reliktem przeszlosci i beda zastepowane przez uklady stron bazujace 
na tekscie sformatowanym w CSS zgodnie z obowiazujacymi standardami.

Nadal nie brzmi to dobrze, ale chyba nie da sie podzielic zdania na 
mniejsze jednostki..
Mam dla odmiany takie pytanie, co moze oznaczac "waning fad" w 
odniesieniu do CSS?

"Przemijająca moda", "krótkotrwały szał" i temu podobne. Nie tylko
w odniesieniu do CSS zresztą.
