Napisałem m.in.:

Autopoprawka: oczywiście, to jest silnie zależne od kontekstu. 'Patch'
na system, dystrybuowany przez dostawcę, naprawiający błędy, to
oczywiście 'poprawka'. W kontekście systemu kontroli wersji --
zdecydowanie mi to nie odpowiada. Zwłaszcza w znaczeniu 'patch ->
zestaw różnic pomiędzy wersjami obiektów zapisany w postaci tekstowej'.

Pozostaje chyba 'łatka', ale to kolokwialne.

Autopoprawka druga: jeśli kontekst będzie jasny, powinno wystarczyć.
