splitted accented characters in gnome applications

Hi friends, from Czech Rep.
May be I can find help here?

I have fresh installed Debian 9 testing with KDE.
Unicode national characters are ok (č,š,ž,..), in
- terminal,
- Qt/KDE aplications,
- gnome applications if we have a key on the keyboard for such character

However for few rare characters we have no special key and we press a sign (ˇ´) first and then the letter.
In gnome applications (Chrome, Leafpad) such characters are corrupted - splitted into 2 characters: ˇC ˇt ˇn

I made "dpkg-reconfigure locales", with no help.

Maybe some additional package need to be installed? Which packages could control this for gnome apps?

I am asking here, because no idea how to "google" this issue.
Thanks and many greetings...

1) Which locales do you use? [Which charset? utf-8/iso-8859-2]

see /etc/default/locale file and "echo $LANG" command in terminal _window_.

2) Which keyboard do you use?

see XKB* variables in /etc/default/keyboard file

Have you tried all modifiers? There is more than one]
gkbd-capplet pakckage provides program to display keyboard layout.

    /usr/bin/gkbd-keyboard-display -l cz

Which kombinations do not work?

Thank to you both.

I know the reason now.
I have installed from unofficial repository with firmware. (With regard to following this cannot be recommended and we should use netinst always.)

Unofficial repositories with firmware install unnecessary language supoorts for many languages, include package uim (keyboard / input methods for japanese,..).

And uim has a bug and breaks czech/slovak/+? keyboard in gnome apps and java apps.
