I have the following problem: After some time of inactivity (nobody is logged in) my VUE login doesn't allow to get in to the VUE environment. Simply speaking display is frozen when I try to enter my login name. After some verification I've found that Xserver is not running and vuelogin cannot start a new one. /usr/vue/config/Xerrors contains multiple messages like that: Couldn't open X pointer device! Is one attached? reported by Xserver. I run 9.05 and cannot move at the moment. My Xserver is: -r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin 745472 Mar 4 13:00 X and contains: @(#)X Window System, Version 11 HP-UX 9.* SRC_FEB96 R5+ @(#)(build date: Wed Jan 10 14:47:27 PST 1996) (extracted by: strings /usr/bin/X11/X | grep ^@) Should I change the Xserver alone or something more? Where to get it (for free)? Please answer directly. I'd like to not overseen any replies to this subject (articles expire quickly). Thanks in advance, Darek PS. Przepraszam, ze nie po polsku.
