Well, AFAICT, the lusers aren't the ones doing the numbing. They're
just the most obvious (and deserving) victims, and the best yardstick
for the progress of the Martian Peril.

Nope, it's Micro$oft that we have to worry about, and the uber-Martian
himself: Bill Gates.

It's all beginning to make sense to me. For years, I could not
believe that any earthly technology could be so {useless, pathetic,
vile, time-consuming, time-wasting, inaccurate, unstable,
just-downright-fecesesque}.

Ostensibly, it was created by men, for men. I mean, HEY, we're all on
the same team, right? Nobody WANTS computers to have their
computational capacity reduced to that of the average (and I stress
*average*) asparagus. It just happens...

Now we know the truth. It takes serious technology to render our most
advanced personal computing hardware powerless. It's not just "bad
coding" or "bloatware." It's something far more sinister...

Micro$oft is not just about taking your money. That's just a clever
front. It's about taking your FREEDOM. Uber-Martian wants to turn us
all into sheep. Sheep who are poor and hungry because they've had to
pay for too many "upgrades." Sheep whose brains have been lulled into
a perma-trance by endless hours of Solitaire. (Or, worse yet, endless
hours of Word and Excel. *shudder*) Sheep who are ripe for the
picking in the "coming soon to a planet near you" Martian invasion!

Cheers,

Dave
