Perl is only a programming language and it can interpret given as argument files. So you have to write a set of perl commands in a text file (let's say "my.first.pl" - .pl is the default extension to perl files) and than you should type in shell "perl my.first.pl". You can also write "#!/usr/bin/perl" (I assume that you have perl in this path) in the very first line of the file and than change it's mode to executable (chmod 755 my.first.pl) and than just run it in the same way as any other programm. Just remember: when this file is in your current directory you have to type "./my.first.pl", not just "my.firs.pl" Regards, Siaco -- ___________________________________________________________________________ |Ryszard Lach | student PWR,EKA/ISK | Poprzeczna 56/1, 51-167 Wroclaw | |e-mail: rlach@waza.com.pl | Office Waza sp. z o.o.
