Hi! I am currently reading a book called Learning Perl. I have a copy of RedHat 4.1 Linux which came with a copy of Perl 5. Now the stupid question. I would like to write a new script on my linux box, could you tell me what the command line would be to make a new script. As in windows you would just go to new, so I thought maybe in perl I could type; $perl new but that didn't work. I have studied most of the online documentation, and unless I'm going insane I can't find this basic piece of information anywhere.
