Nie jest to archaizm, a po prostu jedna z możliwych reprezentacji DEM,
w której punkty wysokości rozłożone są na siatce o równych
interwałach (odległościach x,y). Inna możliwa reprezentacja
to model oparty na (regularnej lub nie) siatce trójkątów.
Różne reprezentacje, różne zastosowania.
