******************************************************************************* Might & Magic III: Island of Terra ******************************************************************************* Codes for Castle Whiteshield ******************************************************************************* The First Statue as you enter Whiteshield tells you what to do, but admittedly it is a bit vague (as one might expect). "Seek the Four Warriors. North before South, East before West, Subtract the Castle's name And you'll pass the Test." This means you must go to the four other statues in the four corners of the Castle and write down their names in the order given (the names are in CAPS) That is: NE - JODELLE NW - LEADBEST SE - ASTRIEL SW - TESHY Now to "Subtract the Castle's name" you must delete all the letters in the above words that are also in the name WHITESHIELD. That leaves you with: JOABARY This will get you into the Dungeon. Take note of the scraps of a song that you find there. These are clues to the Countersign to the chests. The actual countersign is SMELLO, but I am not sure how you use it. I have, however, picked the lock on every chest that I tried and no alarm has been sounded so maybe all I needed to do was read the notes. Enjoy the rest of the game. ******************************************************************************** I am posting this file even though I think the original request for assistance has been met. Hopefully it will assist others of you out there who are stuck.
