Every computer store I've been in has some -- and there are NONE for UNIX. When you point out that there's plenty of shareware and mail-order (ditto for UNIX), they act as if that's tantamount to "not available" because they can't go to the local Best Buy and get it. What they *can* get at Best Buy is computers pre-loaded with Windows 95. So, realistically, users don't have a choice. You can't blame them -- it's not everybody's job to know anything about computers. If I was a master mechanic, I could have a choice of engines in my car.
