ORIGIN SPEAKS (well, not really)

I just called Origin System's Customer Service Line about the disappearing
keys in U7. THIS IS NOT A BUG - IT'S A FEATURE! (so they would have me
believe). It seems the folks at Origin decided keys were such heavy items
to pack around on long journeys that they purposely coded the game to get
rid of your keys when you sleep! The nice lady I spoke to said that all
keys were meant to be used in their immediate surroundings, so it really
isn't necessary to keep the keys after use. She also said that people didn't
use the FEATURE as it was meant to be used, and had taken to locking up
their gold in chests to return and get it later (hence, people calling
this glorious feature a bug!). SOLUTION: BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP, DROP YOUR
KEYS! When you wake up, be sure to pick those suckers up. To make it
easy, put all you keys in a bag or sack or something, so you can drop/pick
them up quickly.

Too bad Origin didn't decide to make the heavy stuff disappear! Keys, gimme
a break...

I guess this means there won't be a free patch disk in my future - not
if they're calling it a feature :)
