The broadcast industry uses Betacam SP. Except for the ability to but a Betacam cassette in a Betamax machine and it will record and playback, the two are utterly different in EVERY way. They are two different formats. Betamax was a good format. Way better than VHS. But not as good as V2000. (comparing contemporary formats circa 1982) Quality of format implementation seems to be inversely proportional to eventual market penetration. -- -----------David Woods, Bearsden, Glasgow.----------- -----------email david@wdwoods.demon.co.uk----------- ---------WWW http://www.wdwoods.demon.co.uk/---------
