Thanks in advance, I'd buy it, hands down. As long as it was sufficiently similar to the original game (yet, different enough not to violate copyright laws. ;), of course, not sure how they'd "own" the happenings of WWII. :) I have heard at least 15 request for this game for the PC in the last 6 months alone. These are only people with access to the net, who figured they would ask in this base> There is an infinite number of people out tehre who LOVE games of that genre (yes, read: jusdt like A&A, no deviating! :), and who would snap it up instantly. I also LOVE Colonial Conquest for the Atari ST. No wargame for my PENTIUM (yes, a computer 10 years superior) has come close. Check it out if you haven't yet seen it, it would be a great grand-daddy type way the game could be presented. (scrolling map etc, all 6 major world powers etc etc) Please PLEASE let me know if this ever gets out of the planning stage. (I am assumign that you are just researching the idea right now. ) but I know that any TRUE A&A-like fan (grin) would definately respond with their 3 cents. cr...@realm.tdkcs.waterloo.on.ca

I think it would be great. I think there is a licensed version for the CDI out right now but I am not sure. I am really surprised no company has tried to do this until recently. Eric

I remember playing that with a horde of friends on an ST about 6-7 years ago. If Axis and Allies comes out, make sure it is truly multiplayer. BTW, was it just me, or did the player who went first (England, I think) have a huge advantage? The English player always used to subvert everything on the second turn. Or maybe I'm just bitter and twisted....

Better than alot of current games. >> Please PLEASE let me know if this ever gets out of the planning stage. And there's got to be alot of us out here. Civilization-like, it's one game that has maintained its playability over the years. >Man, Colonial Conquest was incredible. Actually, The English player DID have a huge advantage, although the Russian player could buy giant troopstacks, that although of low quality, could overwhelm the other players by shear numbers. The toughest country to play was Prussia: my sneaking suspicion is that the designers were a bit Teutonophobic. No matter what you did, the other (computer) players would seemingly ALWAYS gang up on poor little Prussia. After a couple of years of playing CC, I could consistently win as any country EXCEPT Prussia, who would often as not get the stuffings knocked out of it by everyone else (including the Japanese!). But hey, maybe I'M just bitter and twisted :) Marl Somers
