(scrolling map etc, all 6 major world powers etc etc) Yepper! Like Sundog and DungeonMaster, years CC was YEARS ahead of its time. What really amazes me in retrospect was the smooth & fast scrolling. Better than alot of current games. >> Please PLEASE let me know if this ever gets out of the planning stage. And there's got to be alot of us out here. Civilization-like, it's one game that has maintained its playability over the years. >Man, Colonial Conquest was incredible. Actually, The English player DID have a huge advantage, although the Russian player could buy giant troopstacks, that although of low quality, could overwhelm the other players by shear numbers. The toughest country to play was Prussia: my sneaking suspicion is that the designers were a bit Teutonophobic. No matter what you did, the other (computer) players would seemingly ALWAYS gang up on poor little Prussia. After a couple of years of playing CC, I could consistently win as any country EXCEPT Prussia, who would often as not get the stuffings knocked out of it by everyone else (including the Japanese!). But hey, maybe I'M just bitter and twisted :) Marl Somers
