When you've got a problem, you look it up on Google and find out how to 
diagnose and solve it.  

You don't tinker with your system to create problems.

Sure, if you want to be expert at fixing your broken computer, maybe 
breaking it by random tinkering will lead you towards that end faster, 
but most people just want to have a computer that works.

If that is something you set out to do, fine.  But I stand by my 
argument that MS are correct not to encourage it.
