Then how would the majority of us learn Gerry? You suggesting we all take PC courses or pay over the odds to call in the 'specialists' for every minor problem? I've tinkered and broken many PC's over the years since my first IBM PS/2. Learned enough that I now build PC's and fix others probs. I'd hazard a guess I'm fairly typical and the folk with IT hardware degrees in these NG's are rarer.
