Did he (or anyone else in these threads) ever deny that piracy is a
problem?

No.

All you've been doing here is preaching to the choir, and then going off
on totally insane rants against Steam and other things.

Even your so-called "methods" we should follow to "save" PC gaming are,
again, preaching to the choir. The vast majority of the folks here
already acquire their games legally. I also suspect that many of the
folks here DO try to discourage folks from copying/pirating.

But piracy isn't the only problem that PC gaming faces. If you want
proof, look at console gaming. Piracy is even more rampant over there,
yet the market continues to do fine. So it's clear that piracy isn't the
sole problem the PC game industry faces.

I've been saying PC gaming has been in decline for over a decade now,
mainly due to things like stagnation and poor product quality.

I'm really surprised you haven't started evangelizing about what I feel is
the REAL path for saving PC games - independent publishers.

Seriously. The best PC games are starting to come from the smaller
development houses. Space Empires, Galactic Civ, Dominion, any number of
action titles like Darwina, Grid Wars/Geometry Wars... This is the future
of PC gaming. Let the consoles have their huge corporations and bland,
rehashed gameplay. PC gaming has always been about pushing the envelope
and that's where these smaller games can excel.
