Well, you can correct me if I am wrong. It doesn't require you to have the CD in the drive while you play, it doesn't contain special software or other tricks to make the disc unreadable by your CD burner/program. I'd say it doesn't have copy protection. It DOES have a liscense/activation scheme, but even then you only need to enter the key if you want to patch the game. This is incomparison to my friend's daughter's copy of Dogz, which won't even run on her laptop because it's a CD-RW drive and the "copy protection" is afraid that if you put the disc into something that can burn CDs, you might try to copy the game. As a result, my friend no longer buys her daughter PC games. Instead, the daughter picks out used PS2 games. > BTW, it's not crippling DRM that drives sales down because if game is good > gamers will buy it regardless of copy protection (except maybe Starforce if > they really hate it lol). I won't. I won't buy any game with Starforce on it. I may miss out on some great games, but so be it. > But boycotting games because of copy protection is even worse and that will > just kill PC games if it is done on a large scale. There are plenty of other PC games that don't use copy protection, DRM, or will trash my hardware simply because I want to play it.
