You're actually forgetting a few other toppings on the proverbial pizza such as: 4) Bad retail products that can increase skepticism from sellers and customers (ie Big Rigs Over the Road Racing, FBI Hostage Rescue and Midway Arcade Treasure Deluxe, for starters) 5) Modifications for existing titles that can increase their longetivity and 'reduce' the sales of 'inferior products' (Baldur's Gate 2 vs Planescape could be considered an example) 6) Freeware titles (either from hobbyists or the original programmers and publishers) that are as good as or better than their retail competition Not to mention things like cookie cutter sequels, poor development and/or marketing decisions (ie EA charging for cheats and patches; no [reset] key in Sega's 'Smash Packs'), player mistreatment *cough*SWG*cough* and aggressive copy protection methods. In fact, I've supported so many companies and game series through my purchases (ah, the wonders of shopping around) that I'd say I can do without the latest and greatest for a while. If that makes me a 'pirate' in your eyes then I'd say you need yours checked. I've got better things to do with my time than waste it listening to another round of lies from some facist pundit/mouthpiece. Signed, Warewolf who wonders when botched DVD sets and (emulated) game compilations will be a thing of the past.
