"You know, as a gamer and game developer" - What? he is? "While in the past I used Macrovision's SafeDisc, I switched to Starforce ProActive (the online activation version of the CD-ROM protection) for UCG and UCAWA. We haven't received a single complaint." - Not surprising really, nobody bought the game. I stopped reading at that point. The X games are bigger in Europe than here in the US. That means it is going to be running on vastly sub-par and largely inferior and cheap hardware than our North American counterparts. That means cheap CD/DVD drives and cheap media by the replicators. [/quote] So because I live in Europe I own cheap sub par hardware? What I want to know is, how many people buy (and like) his games that he stays in business for all these years? Also, does anyone know where his phd is supposed to be from, as it would surely be fairly easy to check if it's real or not? I don't think that Commander Krud actually played BC3K. Derek was bragging about multiplayer way back in the days of the BC3K Release 1.0 disaster and declared that he would be "Supreme Commander" and code special godly things into his game that would be special for himself and the game and the whole fan base would refer to him as Supreme Commander. I have Commander Krud's explanation of the origin of Taco Supreme Commander (then shortened to Taco Commander) from the old AOL logs and believe that it was placed in the online archives. probably in this directory http://www.werewolves.org/~follies/archives/1History/1Pre1997/

The relationship between the number of times you ask that question and the number of potential opposites is probably as close to 1:1 as makes no odds. For example, please note that the natural opposite of "European" is in fact "British." Bret

It looked very serious - and DS would be up for some court action if he was proved to be lying. Here's hoping he really gets what's coming to him this time. D.

Derek is an academic fraud that will unlikely get what is coming to him until Florida fixes their broken law making it illegal to claim a bogus degree or he moves to a state that already makes it illegal to claim an unearned degree.

LOL, that "godlike" post had me in fits. Another multiplayer promise from the fraud that will apparently go unfullfilled. Of course, he has admitted since that he hates playing BCM because it has gotten so boring to him. So much for his promise that it will be the last game you'll ever desire. Oh wait that is the last game we would ever desire, never mind.

I think that they skipped that part of the doctorate process in Derek's case. The not so unique process that Derek participated in was to make a monetary contribution to an academic fraud then get a diploma which Derek then put in a scan proof glass and frame.

Can't imagine it'd be easy living > with someone with that kind of personality... If you search the internet for Narcissitic Personality Disorder (NPD) you will find that the vast majority of the NPD material is for people that must deal with family members and collegues that have NPD. NPD's think that they are perfect and don't need any help so the people searching for NPD help are the victims that have to deal with the messed up NPDs. Derek seems to have the most typical case of NPD that is possible. He probably flies into NPD rages at a whim and then beats the crap out of whoever is near. There's an NPD lady at work. She beats the crap out of her kids for things like asking if they can pick out their own meal at a fast food drive thru restaurant or asking if they can pick out what shirt they will wear to school. She thinks that she's normal and assumes that the whole world is full of people that are as messed up as she is. In contrast, Derek makes this lady look like a saint. So it would seem to be a very safe bet that Derek's immediate family members are either out of his reach or in severe need of help.
