I finally made it to Nordmar. I have palladin armor, rhune shield, sword of the ancestors at 140 hit points, 700 life, 600 strength, more than enough to be able to use the sword in this game. I can barely defeat 3 skeletons with it. Jowood took the sword out of the game in this revision, and Steam is pushing it over local installs .. if you have Steam. Long, long ago, I actually had figured out the sword fighting skills required of this revision .. but I had forgotten them until now. The biggie was the side step. I accidently got it back, and immediately wiped out 6 skeletons easily because they keep coming straight ahead, and are vulnerable to the sword at full swing. Think I'm going to go looking for a couple of Sabre Tooth tigers. I had given up using the sword on them. johns ( hey guys, is CERN broke yet ? Are they keeping it a secret this time ? )

Just went back to the game and hunted down the sabre tooths. They leap straight ahead, and even if they hit me, their hit points don't register. So I checked the skeletons again, and same deal. The side step causes their hits to not register. At the end of a battle, all I need is to eat a meat bug. johns

At the end of the game now. This version is not bad .. just very slow because I spent most of my time climbing to secure places to use the bow. I did discover that the Sword of the Ancestors is pretty good against the skeletons in the tombs, but only if I have a secure place to run back to to restore my health. I was even able to beat Rhobar in a sword fight using the side step. johns

Make sure you get some Nordmar Nogginfog, that stuff is
killer!

I can't stand many of the games we buy over download. Some
just don't work right. I much rather have the physical media
versions. Seems steam is even intruding on that now.
