many hours of fun can be had

google up a list o skill trainers - skill trainers are level locked so
some will only train you in a skill of 1-3 and not once you've
progressed past that point, etc. Don't want to miss out on some of that
training, particularly Detect Hidden (lvl 5 essential for secret doors)

Do the quest for the little gnome alchemist in the first village. she
will pay you considerably more for anything you want to sell, ever
after. That money really comes in handy for skill trainers.

I haven't finished the game yet, haven't had time to play for a while.
splitting my time over 3 characters hasn't helped in that respect.

HUGE game with a lot places to go and a lot things to do.
I made ~2/3 of game (according to the map) and stopped waiting addons.
Best experienced with a controller.

Thanks to both for answering....I'll give it a go. It's been sitting on
my PC for sometime.
