Try switching some levers till the statue says enough or something like that,
then switch the right one (was stuck before), and tell the statue to tell the truth.

Talk to Flindo about getting an audience with the Magelord, talk to everybody
in town. Watch the story unfold.

Yes, but first you must solve some little puzzles before you can get to Monk Isle.

: 4-Can I get back to Monitor and Fawn without Hawk?

Later in the game there will be 2 Ways to go back to the Mainlands.
One Magic, and one on your feet.

After Dupre gets arrested, talk to the leader of the rebels (I can't 
remember her name). She'll give you the key to the cell under the Oracle 
where you find the machine controlling it.

First talk to Pothos about the Mad Mage. He'll tell you a password to use 
at the building when you ring the bell. It will provide transportation to 
Erstam's Isle. I don't know the significance of the woman.

So what is your question?  To get to this trial, go talk to Yelinda and
Dupre will take care of everything for you.

Talk to every person in Fawn about every possible subject.  Pester people 
mutliple times if necessary.  Iolo should sing after a lightning storm, 
and you should have requested a meeting with the ruler of Fawn.

That will be explained later in the game.

Go and meet the ruler of Fawn. It's all pretty much automatic after that.

Seeing as he says "5 fresh mandrake roots picked from the swamp on Monk 
Isle"... yes. He will not be fooled with mandrake you buy from a purveyor 
of reagents.

Opening the far left door in the entrance hall of the court (I forget 
where to get the key, I think it's from a guard) will lead you 
into a secret passage.  If you follow it, you will pass Dupre's cell, and 
enter a secret control room where you can manipulate what the oracle says.

Well...I never found that, unless you're talking about Frigidazzi.  Just 
explore the town and quests will unravel.

Yes, but in order to get there you'll need to speak with Pothos first 
about his father.

That's the only way you WILL be able to get back.  Though you don't need
