ULTIMA 7.5 - HELP

I have a few questions about the Serpent Isle.

1- When I played it a while ago, I got to some sort of trial in Fawn, in which
   I found out that the Oracle was being controlled - I cant remember how I 
   done it though.

2-I managed to free Captain Hawk, and went to Moonshade.
   Now what? I walked to the top of the island and found a derelict building,
    and a naked woman! What am I supposed to do here?

3-The guy in Moonshade says I need 5 mandrake? roots to get a spellbook - do
    I have to go to Monk Isle to get them?

4-Can I get back to Monitor and Fawn without Hawk?
