I'll give you a few... Sommersby? The Last Emperor? Schindler's List? (was this hyped up crap?) etc etc Anyway, I think that the public LIKES to see good triumph over evil. Remember that people watch movies to escape the real world. In the real world people see all of these horrible things happening -- it's nice to go to the movies and see the good guy destroy all the bad guys and win over the girl. If it's well done, of course! I think that a movie that shows otherwise would flop badly -- and you might blame it on the public... certainly don't blame it on the film makers. Believe me, I'm not defending all film makers. There IS a lot of crap out there. However, I just believe that you don't give them enough credit. *************************************************************************** * Milamber,(yc...@columbia.edu)* There have been rumours that the Great One* * Master Magician, * known as Milamber has been masquerading * * Sorcerer's Island, Midkemia.* as Chew Yung Jin around the Columbia * * * University campus. * *************************************************************************** * "Persecuting Cardassians goes far beyond your job -- it's your passion."* * -- Marritza to Major Kira * * ST:DS9 "Duet" * ***************************************************************************
