I would sugest C++ with its object orientated programing. I am envolved with a couple of projects at the moment, of which I am in charge of teh RPG, and I was originally going to program it in AMOS, a type of BASIC for the Amiga but very powerful, and as I learned more about C and C++, AVL, SPLAY trees, linked lists, etc. , I have come to realize to the most part C is the most capable of handling large banks of information for NPCs and data maps. This is just my suggestion, but really you should choose what ever language you are most comfortable at. An example of that is a a particular programming contest, a guy programming in PASCAL beat everybody using C because he was just used to that language. His programs were pretty long though ;) `~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~' | Phillip J. McCartney ------------------------- | C.S.
