Wow Don, very nice post to this overwhelming crap. I agree, in the last 
2 weeks, this stuff has become like a freakin epidemic, and yes, it is 
totally taking away from the cool novelty and enjoyment of the 
newsgroups for me. This place was once a haven for me away from the 
fucking tv, now its worse than the tv. 
	I was thinking perhaps we could get a very CLEAR law passed, 
making it possible for the ISP of the crossposter/spammer to send a bill 
(with the help of us eager particapants) to the aformentioned, charging 
say $35 for EACH newsgroup other than the appropriate one that the 
assholes post too. If we did, this shit would definately stop, post 
haste, and it wouldn't involve any type of real censorship of which I 
abhor. (Censorship meaning denying someone the right to express their 
views, art, or opinions. These jerks would have to keep this shit where 
it belongs ((this ad in comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware)) and not 'pollute' the 
bandwith.
Just a thought.  I've found the only thing to do now, is to encourage 
ALL my fellow netfriends to not respond in ANY way to this ads, this 
could feasably work eventually.  The problem is, not everyone would do 
it, hence it doesnt stop.
