But I am pretty sure >they are incapable of it.) I don't know why anyone looks at new OS releases as "what can it do for me"? Software upgrades are a necessary part of life. People don't really like to change when something works as-is, but upgrades are necessary and inevitable to advance technology. One of the primary advantages of Windows for gaming (DirectX 12) is not going to be an advantage right now because games aren't written to take advantage of it yet. But, we can read enough to know the performance benefits of DX12 are substantial, and know from history that there will come a time when games will not work on anything less. So, since Windows 10 is in your future anyway, what's the advantage to waiting? It is in a perfectly stable state right now. I could understand waiting if it's a buggy mess. I could understand waiting if there were a reason to believe the cost would drop. But, there is no cost, and it's not a buggy mess. It's probably their most stable OS to date and gives me far less trouble than OSX or Ubuntu do. The only people who really seem to be bad mouthing it are the people who don't use it.
